Herb Sutter to revisit Guru of the Week for C++11

I’ve just read on Herb’s site that he will be revisiting his superbGuru of the Week column, revising and adding articles to cover the changes brought by the new C++ standard, C++11.

For those of you who haven’t seen it before, Guru of the Week is a comprehensive look at the technicalities and practicalities of writing safe, high quality C++ code. With a range of difficulty levels, the existing set of articles are something I re-read on a reasonably regular basis, and many still surprise me in some way! It’s great news that he will be returning to them, as the clarity with which he covers technical details and nuances can help all of us get to grips with ‘new C++’. I can’t push GotW enough, so have a look, and you’ll see what I mean 🙂

Herb’s also created a brief ‘taster page’ of some of the features offered, comparing implementation differences between the previous (C++03) and new standards.
